A Sign of Excellence

There’s something wonderful about Chanel isn’t there? That little logo is enough to send a shiver of excitement down my spine, whether it’s on a handbag or a lipstick… OK, OK, I don’t have a Chanel handbag, but oh I wish I did!

The great thing about designer cosmetics ranges is they let us buy into a brand we otherwise might not be able to. The really fantastic thing about Chanel though, is you also get absolutely wonderful products that work well.

I have friends who swear by their foundations, but I have a soft spot for their Precision Body Excellence range. The Firming and Revitalizing Body Spray is a particular favourite. A quick spray of this silky formula on my legs when I’m getting ready for a night out and I’m good to go. It seems to instantly firm up the skin and leaves an ever so flattering shimmer too.

It’s admittedly more of a summer buy than a winter must-have, but I couldn’t resist telling you about it. Besides, my mind is pretending that it’s summer; I saw blue sky for the first time in months today!

Avon Lady

Avon Cosmetics Limited I’m a big fan of Avon products, they’re unbelievably cheap for the quality you get. It’s always a bit of a hassle having to fork out extra for delivery though.

Good news though! Right now you can get free delivery on any Avon products; no matter how much you spend! Just enter DELIVER at the checkout to get your free delivery – it’s only available today though, so get shopping!

Hello Lover

I adore the John Galliano fragrance; it is my go-to scent when I need to up my mood or feel a bit special. So imagine my elation at this delightful solid perfume charm bracelet version. It is pretty AND it smells like heaven – perfection!

This would make a great Valentine’s Day present; starting hinting now.

Soft Focus

NuBo Voile is the latest breed of skincare/makeup hybrid. This luscious scented cream-gel feel like velvet on the skin and dries to a powdery finish.

Fine lines and imperfections are immediately softened up and the skin is left looking radiant and smooth. With hyaluronic acid NuBo Voile plumps up the skin and works long-term to hydrate and fight ageing.

If you have pimples then you’ll need to wear foundation on top of it, but if you just need a bit of extra help then this could be everything you are hoping for.

It’s available in a range of shades and there’s also a transparent version; £40 from Harrods.

Grazing Acefully

When I heard about Graze, a company which provides posh snack packs of tasty, healthy nibbles to pick at whilst at work, I knew I had to try it out.

The concept is wonderful; sign up online and make your way through the ingredients list letting them know which foods you love and hate. Choose which days you want your snack packs and they’ll deliver to your place of work!

The food is superb quality, free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and it all tastes delish. I was bowled over by the chewy and sweet dried morello cherries – yum yum yum! Expect to get a good dose of your 5 a day too with fresh and dried fruit in each box.

At just £2.99 including delivery it’s a tastier, healthier and maybe even cheaper option than a big sugary latte and mars bar during afternoon slumps.

You can get your first box half price so why not give it a go?

Pink to Make the Boys Wink

I was raving about ESPA last week and guess what? I’m going to do it again! I’ve been trying out the divine Pink Hair and Scalp Mud over the last few days and, despite some reservations, I’m pleased with the results.

I wasn’t sure quite how it would measure up. I imagined a mud for hair to be drying and difficult to wash out. It has clay in it after all! I couldn’t get my head around the fact that it would be moisturising and conditioning.

You need to use quite a lot of product to cover the whole head, but when it is rinsed out (and hair comes clean easily!) my locks are so shiny as well as feeling stronger. Wow, this pink gloop actually works! The hair also feels light and full with no traces of residue, and the cleaning effect on the scalp is second to none.

It also doubles up as a yummy skin conditioner (bye bye dry elbows)  and apparently works well to soothe sun burn… not that there’s much chance of that in the January weather!
