When it comes to press samples, asking for perfume can be a little daunting. I’m always going on about how a perfume choice is incredibly personal, what works for one may seem revolting to another. So it was with some anxiety that I asked to be sent ‘F for Fascinating’ by Salvatore Ferragamo.
When the perfume arrived I studied the bottle before anything else. It is unmistakeably girly with its clear glass, rosy perfume and pink writing, but the shape of the bottle and addition of a white detail and cut out feature gives the packaging a lick of modernity.
As for the scent itself; there is a top note of Mandarin sorbet, teamed with Sambac Jasmine and Patchouli. The aromas infuse delicately for a light, crisp and uplifting bouquet. The mandarin’s fruity note flirts with sweetness without moving too far into a sugary territory.
F for Fascinating is a wonderful summer fragrance, but I can also see how it would slide into the Autumn months with ease. Brightening the days as the winter rolls in.
This fragrance is not just fascinating. F is also for feminine, fresh and fabulous.
